Learn English English Verb: To Do

The verb do is a very important verb in English. It is used to ask questions, to state simple facts, and it is used in negation.

The verb do has two conjugations in the present tense.

I do
you do
he does
she does
it does
we do
they do


The verb do means to perform or accomplish something.

She does her homework at night.
We do this all the time.
Tim does nothing all day.
I do my chores after school.
